NORMAN – Baker Mayfield wanted to return to Oklahoma on Saturday to visit his closest fans and friends as well as cheer against arch-rival Texas on the basketball court.
Well, it seems to especially cheer against the Longhorns.
During a halftime introduction to the Lloyd Noble Center crowd, he revved up the crowd in true Mayfield fashion by racing around the court and then throwing a horns-down symbol to the student section.
He then had a 10-minute session with reporters, where he talked about wanting to come back this weekend – his first trip to Norman since the Rose Bowl – and he wanted to see everyone one more time since he won’t be able to make the spring game.
