NORMAN — Austin Seibert sees all of the younger guys joining the Oklahoma football program and it makes him smile.
“It’s set in a little bit,” Seibert said about his senior year. “It’s definitely flying by. We’re almost done with spring ball and it’s close.”
The Sooners’ special-teams anchor is honing in on his final season with the Sooners. Seibert has handled place-kicking, punting and kickoff duties the past two years.
He is nearing Michael Hunnicutt’s school record of 450 career points. Seibert has 361 career points, which ranks third behind DeMarco Murray (390).
Seibert’s focus this spring has been on improving his field-goal accuracy.
