STILLWATER -- Oklahoma State’s midfield huddle broke around 5:30 p.m. Friday and coach Mike Gundy, salt-and-pepper scruff dotting his cheeks, strode with pace toward his first session of 2018 with members of the local media.
The last time Gundy went on camera or in front of a recorder or on the record with those who cover the team from Tulsa, Stillwater and Oklahoma City came in Orlando, Florida, minutes after his team finished off a Camping World Bowl victory.
Gundy’s quarterback that night was Mason Rudolph. His defensive coordinator was Glenn Spencer. Those mainstays of the last few seasons of Oklahoma State football were nowhere to be found around the Sherman Smith Training Center on Friday night.
