The Gonzaga University men’s basketball team defeated Indiana 89-73 in the second round of the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament on Thanksgiving Day in the Bahamas.
The No. 3 Zags (6-1) lost to West Virginia (4-2) in a thrilling overtime game on Wednesday, sending them to face IU in round two.
“We responded well from yesterday,” said senior guard Nolan Hickman. “I even responded well, and that’s just growth, like coach said in the locker room … I’m proud of myself for coming back and being a leader for the squad.”
No. 14 Indiana (4-2) lost in the opening round to Louisville (5-1) by a score of 89-61, sending the Hoosiers into the losers bracket.
