No. 10 Purdue slides past Indiana for 9th win in 10 games

Trey Kaufman-Renn sank the go-ahead hook shot with 11.9 seconds as part of a 23-point effort to help No. 10 Purdue post an 81-76 victory over visiting Indiana in Big Ten play on Friday night at West Lafayette, Ind. Braden Smith recorded 24 points, seven assists and a season-high six steals as Purdue (17-5, 9-2 Big Ten) won for the ninth time in its last 10 games. Fletcher Loyer had 15 points and Kaufman-Renn made 10 of 13 from the field as the Boilermakers defeated the Hoosiers for the 16th time in the past 20 meetings. Mackenzie Mgbako scored 25 points for Indiana (14-8, 5-6), which lost for the fifth time in the past six games.
