Former Wisconsin CB Nick Nelson, a projected fourth- or fifth-rounder according to PFW draft evaluator Greg Gabriel, suffered a torn meniscus recently during a private team workout and will soon undergo surgery expected to sideline him until at least training camp, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport tweeted on Friday.
Nelson's injury comes shortly after North Carolina State DT Kentavius Street suffered a torn ACL in a private workout with the New York Giants, Pro Football Talk first reported Thursday
PFT's Mike Florio, who often offers his unsolicited advice to prospects and players, surprisingly doesn't mention in his post, unlike Rapoport's tweet, that these unfortunate injuries are compelling more and more agents to advise clients against working out during the pre-draft process.
