GREEN BAY — With their franchise left tackle, underrated left guard and whip-smart center all having signed contract extensions in the past 19 months — deals that put all three of them under contract through at least 2020 — the Green Bay Packers’ offensive line is 60 percent set with David Bakhtiari, Lane Taylor and Corey Linsley.
What will happen with the other 40 percent of that crew in 2018 is a matter of health (with right tackle Bryan Bulaga’s comeback from a torn ACL in his right knee), how youngsters develop (tackles Jason Spriggs and Kyle Murphy, and guards Lucas Patrick and Justin McCray) and whether the Packers will reach a point where they’ll need to break the emergency glass on an ancient Pro Bowler (guard Jahri Evans, who was a godsend last year).
