Former Gonzaga center Przemek Karnowski finished with 14 points and five rebounds in his first game with the Orlando Magic on Wednesday.
Karnowski struggled to find footing with his first NBA team after the Charlotte Hornets pretty much refused to give him any playing time. Apparently all it took was a quick change of scenery for Karnowski to showcase his value.
In the game, Karnowski did exactly what he tormented college teams with for four years: using his enormous bulk to mash the competition around.
It is no secret that the prototypical center doesn’t really exist in the NBA anymore, but that doesn’t mean Karnowski is obsolete either.
