The Missouri baseball team had chance after chance to wrap up a win of its three-game series with Southeastern Conference foe Mississippi State by Saturday, but the Tigers couldn't push across the winning run and lost 3-1 in 15 innings.
So the Tigers were relegated to trying for the series win in Sunday afternoon's finale to the series at Taylor Stadium. Again, Missouri squandered chances with men on base. Again, Missouri missed out on a chance at a series victory in the first nine innings.
But this time, Missouri (19-6, 3-3) was the team celebrating on the turf.
