Iowa senior linebacker Josey Jewell and junior cornerback Josh Jackson continued to reel in all-American honors today, named to The Sporting News all-American team.
The selections are the fourth first-team all-American honors for Jewell and Jackson, who were previously selected as first-team choics by the Walter Camp Foundation, the Football Writers Association of America and the Associated Press.
The fifth all-American team used in establishing consensus honors, the American Football Coaches Association, is scheduled to be released Wednesday.
Jewell and Jackson were named the Big Ten players of the year at their respective positions.
Jewell leads the Big Ten and ranks third nationally with 125 tackles and an average of 11.
