On a November evening in 2016, the Norvells were dancing. Zach Norvell Jr. was on the McCarthey Athletic Center court, surrounded by his new Gonzaga teammates in the pregame huddle, electricity pulsing through him, vibing to the music.
Zach Norvell Sr. watched from the stands, taken aback by his son’s newfound rhythm. The mojo was infectious, so he couldn’t help but join in and began dancing.
“That, that right there, that was different for me. I had never seen him do that before,” Norvell Sr. said. “For him to do that, that was different to me. That part of Zach, that does the dance and all that, I didn’t know that part of him .
