For the past 20 years, Gonzaga men’s basketball has dominated the West Cost Conference. Last season, the Zags pulled off a 17-1 conference record with their lone loss coming against BYU on their final game of the season.
This year may be a bit different, with the biggest change being that No. 20 Gonzaga is seeded to finish second in the WCC behind Saint Mary’s.
Seeing that GU lost All-American point guard Nigel Williams-Goss, 7-footer Przemek Karnowski and lottery draft pick Zach Collins and Saint Mary’s is returning with WCC Preseason player of the year Jock Landale, the seeding is understandable.
