Men's basketball: Despite abundance of close games, Gonzaga excelling in 'winning time'

Last season, almost every Gonzaga men’s basketball game was the same: win after win, blowout after blowout. The same cannot be said for the games this season.

And while it would be most healthy for the blood pressure of Zag Nation would probably prefer to win every game by at least 20 points, it could potentially be beneficial to the Zags to have to fight to the end and walk away with a narrower victory margin, and possibly, even lose a few games.

During the 2016-17 season, the Zags won their regular season games by an average of 25.
