A week can make all the difference.
Just seven days ago, the Gonzaga women’s basketball team let an 11-point fourth-quarter lead slip away, falling to Oregon State in overtime. After two losses in their first three West Coast Conference games, a scenario head coach Lisa Fortier hadn’t faced since the 2016-17 season, the Zags needed to respond.
That response came this week. The Zags (9-8, 4-2 WCC) roared back with a 75-54 victory over Pepperdine on Monday, followed by a 76-71 win over Portland on Thursday and capped off the week with an 82-56 triumph over Santa Clara on Saturday.
