Phase one of the construction consisted of the main playing field and other necessary structures such as the press box and the ticket booth. Phases two and three added bathrooms, locker rooms and the grandstands.
Last December, new lights were installed and the fourth and final phase was completed. With the upgrade, Luger Field matched the other premier fields of the West Coast Conference. It is now the eighth soccer field in the WCC with lighting (Pacific and Pepperdine do not).
Four light poles, 228 lights and $1 million later, the newest addition to Gonzaga Athletics will provide the soccer teams and the fans an experience that has never been possible before.
