DESTIN, Fla. — LSU deep snapper Blake Ferguson and distance runner Harrison Martingayle are participating in this week’s meetings as student representatives.
Ferguson is chair of the SEC’s Football Leadership Council, succeeding former LSU quarterback Danny Etling who was vice chair in 2017. Martingayle will represent the SEC’s non-revenue student-athletes NCAA meetings starting in July in Indianapolis as part of the Student Athletic Advisory Council (SAAC).
This is the second year of the student advisory councils in the conference.
“I think it’s been an incredibly healthy part of our conversation,” SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey said.
