LSU Practice Report, Day 10: D-line pecking order, a running back returns and more

Running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire is back.

The Catholic High product returned to drills Tuesday after missing Saturday's scrimmage for undisclosed reasons, and he practiced in full, too.

Edwards-Helaire has shined over the first 10 practices of spring, coach Ed Orgeron has said, flashing the potential in the backfield that the Tigers need.

Other personnel notes from practice:

  • New to gold jerseys were safety JaCoby Stevens and TE Thaddeus Moss. Gold jerseys signify limited contact because of injury.
  • OLB Ray Thornton was not dressed out but watched practice and even participated in some walk-through sessions with the other outside linebackers.
