Louisiana officials authorize digital survey to take next step in potential Superdome renovations

The Louisiana Stadium & Exposition District authorized on Tuesday a $400,000 digital surveying and documentation of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome as part of the next step in potential stadium renovations, according to a resolution provided by the LSED to The Advocate on Friday.

The survey "will facilitate refined sequencing, cost estimating, and scheduling required to forecast cash flow and funding as is necessary and required for further exploration and research" of the master plan for renovations to the Superdome.

The money for the survey will be funded by the LSED's capital reserve fund, and the digital survey will be performed by Trahan Architects, APC, a firm based in New Orleans that has worked on projects across the country and handled a $25 million upgrade of the Superdome's video boards in 2016.
