The Missouri track and field team had three athletes post top-eight finishes at the Southeastern Conference Championships on Saturday in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Senior Rauno Liitmae finished fifth in the men's 1,500 decathlon with 7,524 points and freshman Jason Edwards finished seventh with 6,569 points. Liitmae also posted the seventh-best javelin throw in Missouri history at 219.816 feet during the decathlon event.
Redshirt junior Gabi Jacobs finished seventh in the women's shot put with a season-best throw of 51.67 feet.
The championships conclude Sunday, with senior Karissa Schweizer set for action in both the 1,500 and the 5,000.
