Off to their first 3-0 start since the 2004 season, the Coconino Panthers dominated the Cortez Colts Friday night in the Valley.
Jumping out to a 28-point lead in the opening quarter, the Panthers cruised to a 56-0 victory in the 4A Conference game.
Sophomore running back Zach Bennett scored three touchdowns in the game while senior quarterback Ty Furr connected with Kyle Casados on a pair of touchdown passes. Kyle Sauer and Bailey McCauslin added touchdowns in the victory.
Coconino faces the Mingus Union Marauders (3-1) at home next Friday in their first Grand Canyon Region game of the season.
