Gonzaga Bulldogs senior point guard Josh Perkins is the new all-time assists record holder, breaking Matt Santangelo’s record of 668, set in 1997-2000.
Perkins entered the game against Pepperdine with 675 career assists, and considering he was averaging 6.8 assists per game, there was a shot he could break the record on Thursday. Perkins definitely made sure that would happen, dishing out seven assists and tying the record in the first half as Gonzaga scored 53 points.
It took quite a bit of time into the second half, but Perkins connected on a lob for No.
