Gonzaga Bulldogs junior guard Joel Ayayi has been named as one of 10 players to the Jerry West Award Watch List. The award goes out to the best shooting guard in college hoops each year.
This is of no surprise to anyone watching Gonzaga basketball. Ayayi averages 12.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. His 3.50 assist-to-turnover ratio is top notch, and of course, he hauled in Gonzaga’s first program triple-double, with 12 points, 13 rebounds, and 14 assists.
In short, if the basketball is anywhere on the court, there is a very good chance Ayayi has had a hand on it.
