The New York Jets signed kicker Anders Carlson to the 53-man roster from the practice squad on Tuesday. The move comes two days after Carlson connected on a pair of field-goal attempts -- including a 58-yarder -- and made all three extra-point tries in New York's 28-27 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Carlson, 26, appeared in two games this season for the San Francisco 49ers and was 5-for-5 on field-goal attempts and 3-for-4 on extra-point tries. The 49ers released Carlson on Nov. 5. The Green Bay Packers selected Carlson in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Auburn.
