Washington has announced former Georgia quarterback Jacob Eason is transferring to play for Huskies, The Seattle Times reported Tuesday.
The one-time starter for the Bulldogs announced he would be leaving the school through a tweet on Jan. 12. At the time, Eason made no mention as to what school he would be transferring to.
Due to NCAA transfer rules, Eason will not be eligible to play for Washington during the 2018 season. Instead, Eason’s career as a Husky will likely begin in 2019. Washington’s current starting quarterback, Jake Browning, will use his last season of eligibility in 2018.
