LINCOLN — When he’s in his natural habitat, Nebraska’s biggest celebrity just blends right in.
You might think 6-foot-3 Husker coach Scott Frost — still fairly close to the physique he used to lead NU to its last national title — might be easy to spot at practice. And, occasionally, he is — when he’s throwing a pass to receivers, just to keep the old arm loose. But much of the time, the $5 million man, the native son who has set a state on fire and maybe even added a few years to the life of his legendary mentor, Tom Osborne, walks quietly among players and coaches.
