Hub Arkush's Team for the Ages — Running Backs

What I was looking for and found in my four running back choices for our “Team For The Ages,” giving you the opportunity to vote on the NFL's greatest 50 players of the modern era, are guys who qualify for the title of greatest of all time. Each of my choices in their primes was the most dominant player in the NFL.

Earl Campbell was the toughest, hardest-hitting, most powerful running back I’ve ever seen with the exception of Jim Brown — who didn’t play in the NFL’s modern era. Campbell could not be tackled one-on-one in the open field and was rarely brought down by the first defender to touch him.
