There is no greater exercise in futility than grading drafts before any of the rookies have even met their new teams or stepped on a practice field.
But with the glut of information available to anybody interested in finding it these days, it can be interesting to identify teams that appear to have a leg up on the competition.
With the first three rounds of the 2018 draft in the books, I won’t be critical of any teams because there is little doubt all 32 general managers know more about this stuff than I do and have a lot more professional evaluations available to them than I do.
