How many ways to climb a Tiger? The tradition means something different for each Missouri fan

Climbing the Tiger statue that overlooks Rollins Street from the southern edge of Carnahan Quad is a favorite tradition of Missouri students and alumni. Graduate student Andre Deus, however, sat this one out as he helped two of his young children mount the monument.

This year's homecoming was his second since coming to MU from Brazil. Deus, however, has yet to conquer the Tiger.

"Personally, I want to go up there when I graduate," Deus said. "I just stood on the tail right now. It's a hassle to get on top. It's not easy. It's like a parable of your journey here.
