After making the NCAA Tournament every year since 1998, Gonzaga has put itself into a position where they likely need to win the West Coast Conference tournament in order to get a bid to the big dance.
The Zags are coming off a much needed victory over BYU on Saturday, avoiding a season sweep from the Cougars. A loss would have put the Zags at 0-2 against both BYU and Saint Mary’s but they pulled off the win in a hostile environment in Provo.
“That win was huge for us,” senior guard Eric McClellan said. “It gives us a lot of confidence going into Saturday.
