Last year, the Zags opened up the season with a 29-point victory over the Texas Southern Tigers.
Things are already off to a much better start for the Tigers this season, however. On Tuesday, Nov. 6, Texas Southern went on the road to defeated the Baylor Bears by three points. The Tigers have a grand total of TWO home games during the non-conference slate, both against non-Division I schools. Fourteen of their first 16 games are on the road.
So beating Baylor is a good start. Coming into Spokane is going to be a much more difficult venue.
