Gonzaga was lucky to scrape a victory with yet another suspect performance against a gritty, tough Montana team. Montana came in with a gameplan we've seen employed a lot against the Zags this year, and almost executed it to perfection. If not for Gonzaga holding them to 36% shooting, very well might have pulled it off.
While Gonzaga probably should have won this game a bit more comfortably, in the end, Perkins and McClellan really stepped up, and helped change the course of the last 10 minutes of the second half. It was good to see Perkins and McClellan step up, both defensively and offensively, and perform.
