The Gonzaga Bulldogs host the Denver Pioneers tonight before taking a well-earned week off for the holidays.
This is the second-all time meeting between the two schools. They first met on Nov. 24, 2003, in Spokane, when the Zags defeated Denver, 90-58. Since 1958-59, the Zags are undefeated against current Summit League members.
By all accounts, this should be a relatively easy game for the Zags, which is exactly what this squad needs. The students are gone, so the atmosphere in Spokane will be a bit more tepid than usual, and that is perfectly fine.
At 10-2, the Bulldogs have more than earned their break after traversing the country back and forth for much of December.
