The Gonzaga University women’s volleyball team extended its losing streak to 22 matches after dropping two home games this week.
The Zags (1-22, 0-3 WCC) lost in straight sets to Saint Mary’s (8-14, 4-9) on Thursday before taking one set in a 3-1 loss to Pacific (15-10, 5-8) on Saturday at the Martin Centre.
GU came close to winning the first set against Saint Mary’s, but the Gaels won the final three points to secure a 25-22 victory. Saint Mary’s held off GU more in the following sets, winning them 25-13 and 25-20.
The Gaels set the tone for the evening, earning the first point off of a Zag defensive error.
