Gonzaga was a little upset after losing their first WCC game of the season on Thursday, ending their 17-game winning streak. They took out their frustrations on the third-place San Diego Toreros on Saturday afternoon. Three Bulldogs finished in double figures as Gonzaga picked up a 69-47 victory.
After perhaps her worst offensive game of the season on Thursday against BYU, Jill Townsend came out on fire Saturday. The senior wing scored 12 first quarter points, outscoring USD by herself, as the Zags took a 23-10 lead after the first 10 minutes. The game would never get any closer.
