The 11th-ranked Zags have quite a history in this tournament, having secured two titles in two attempts (6-0 record). They also captured two tournament MVPs (2012: Austin Daye, 2008: Jeremy Pargo).
This is the 11th season of the tournament and once again the competition is strong on both sides of the bracket.
The first round of the invitational has the Bulldogs matched up against the Quinnipiac Bobcats (0-2) of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). The Bobcats lost their first two games to Vermont and Columbia and figure to be an easy opening round game for GU.
