Growing up with his father, former heavyweight boxing champion Evander Holyfield, it was easy for people to connect him to his father's fame when his football career began to take off. But for Holyfield, that’s not the case.
“It’s my last name, so I’m proud of my last name,” Holyfield said of the connections he gets to his father. “[It’s] not really a shadow, but if it is, it’s motivation for [me] to get out of it.
