ORLANDO, Fla. — Gayle Benson was moved by how the city came out to support her and show how much they cared about her husband during his visitation and funeral last week.
The new owner of the Saints and Pelicans, Benson remained composed and confident throughout a 15-minute session with the media on Monday. But the one time her voice cracked came when answering a question about the love New Orleans showed her and her late husband, Tom Benson, last week.
“I am so grateful and so grateful they were all there to see my husband,” Gayle Benson said.
