Fraley’s time of 8:43.08 is the second fastest in Gonzaga history, second only to his school record of 8:39.30, which he ran a month ago at the Payton Jordan Invitational in Palo Alto, California.

The redshirt junior continues his historic season, becoming the first-ever Zag to qualify for a national final in program history.

“Survive and advance [is] really what it’s all about!” head coach Pat Tyson said. “[Troy] becomes the first Zag to make the finals of a track and field event in Gonzaga history. It certainly wasn't perfect, but part of this is due to the fact [that] all of these runners are All-American candidates.
