Anton Watson has spent most of his basketball career surrounded by winning. That part hasn’t changed.
Growing up in nearby Coeur d'Alene and attending Gonzaga Prep, Watson was a name to watch in the Spokane hoops scene long before he was a Zag. Then he took the court at McCarthey Athletic Center and became a steady, unshakable presence for Mark Few’s Bulldogs.
Now, he’s bringing that same mentality to the professional ranks, adjusting to life in the G League while remaining part of one of the NBA’s most storied franchises.
A few months after his final game as a Zag, Watson was selected by the Boston Celtics with the 54th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
