Jermon Bushrod left New Orleans at the height of his powers.
When Bushrod signed a five-year deal with Chicago during the 2013 offseason, he was one of the game's most coveted tackles, a player in his prime coming off of two consecutive Pro Bowl berths.
Bushrod is back now at a very different stage of his career. After nine years as an NFL starter, Bushrod is coming back to the Saints as a versatile veteran backup nearing the end of his career.
The role suits him just fine.
"Initially, they're bringing me in to be a veteran swing guy, and that's OK,' Bushrod said.
