In a top-10 matchup that many expected to be the best nonconference game of college basketball’s opening week, No. 6 Gonzaga came out and stomped 8th-ranked Baylor in the Spokane Arena last night. Five GU players scored in double digits en route to a wire-to-wire 101-63 victory.

While GU fans might want to pump the brakes on national title talk for now, it’s almost inarguable that the Zags will contend for college basketball’s ultimate prize if they continue playing like they did last night.
