Falcons sign veteran QB Nathan Peterman to practice squad

The Atlanta Falcons signed veteran quarterback Nathan Peterman to the practice squad on Tuesday. In a corresponding move, the Falcons released offensive lineman Julie'n Davenport from the practice squad. Atlanta has three new quarterbacks with starter Kirk Cousins signed as a free agent and Michael Penix Jr. selected in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Washington. Peterman, 30, most recently had signed with the Las Vegas Raiders on Aug. 13 and was released on Aug. 27. He had played with the Raiders in 2020-21, as well as with the Buffalo Bills in 2017-18 and the Chicago Bears in 2022-23.
