LINCOLN — Quarterbacks coach Mario Verduzco said the NU quarterbacks have collectively thrown four interceptions in camp and had three “near misses.” That’s four too many for Verduzco, but Nebraska’s practices routinely had four interceptions per day in 2015 and 2016.
“I don’t want tell them anything positive!” Verduzco joked. “I want to keep the screws on them!”
Quarterbacks review each interception on film. Verduzco used one thrown by Andrew Bunch as an example of not knowing the situation.
“We were on the 20, the field shrinks, he tried to stick it in there, the (defensive back) didn’t have to drop as much, so he picked the post route,” Verduzco said.
