Sophomore Gonzaga Bulldogs forward Drew Timme has been named to the Karl Malone Award Watch List on Thursday. The award goes out to the top forward in college hoops each season.
As a freshman, Timme put up stellar numbers in somewhat limited minutes, averaging 9.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game in just 20.5 minutes. He shot 61.8 percent from the floor.
Timme played behind Filip Petrusev for much of the year, and is now established to run amok in the frontcourt. The award showcases some of the limitations of the positions here.
