INDIANAPOLIS — Donte Jackson isn't chasing D.J. Chark.
He wants John Ross.
Jackson, the LSU cornerback who doubled as a member of LSU's SEC Champion 100-meter relay, openly declared his aim in Monday's NFL scouting combine: to break the 40-yard dash record of 4.22 seconds, set last spring by Ross.
"If you were fast, wouldn’t that be a goal for you?" Jackson asked. "Exactly. That’s just competitive nature in me. I’m going to get out the bed, and I’m going to be ready to run and beat it.
