It’s a common trope among television’s portrayal of college life: a group of students on a sunny day, laughing, smiling and tossing around a frisbee. Those sorts of scenarios certainly occur at Gonzaga — but there’s a group of individuals for whom it isn’t casual and the sun beaming down isn’t a requirement.
Littered throughout the grass and turf fields on campus most weekends are throngs of students, competing, rain, wind or shine, in ultimate frisbee, which is quickly becoming one of GU’s more popular club sports.
Both men’s and women’s club Ultimate Frisbee are experiencing significant growth in student turnout.
