The Saints finally ended their drought at middle linebacker last season.
Wasted draft picks and misses in free agency led the team to A.J. Klein, who represented an answer to a riddle that left this organization flummoxed for far too long. But fine isn't enough. New Orleans wants the group to be even better, and once again invested in the position by signing former New York Jets linebacker Demario Davis to a three-year, $24 million contract last week.
That’s not to say the team thinks Klein is a bust or a bad signing. It probably doesn't win 11 games without him last season.
