Given all the roster changes Gonzaga faced, the Bulldogs’ 7-2 start, with an overtime win against Texas and a comeback win over 25th-ranked Creighton, was as good of an outcome as Zag Nation could have wished for. The PK80 invitational provided us insight as to who the Gonzaga Bulldogs are this season. Even the double-overtime loss to then-seventh-ranked Florida gave the Zags invaluable early season experience, developing players into their newfound roles.
With the loss of Nigel Williams-Goss, Przemek Karnowski, Jordan Mathews and Zach Collins, fans were anxious about who could fill that void. The PK80 eased much of that concern with strong performances from Josh Perkins and Johnathan Williams.
