Colorado rides second-half surge to rout of Cal State Fullerton

Colorado outscored Cal State Fullerton by 24 points in the second half, breaking open a close game and cruising to an 83-53 win on Wednesday in Boulder, Colo. Andrej Jakimovski scored 14 of his team-leading 17 points in the first half, and he finished with five of the Buffaloes' 12 3-pointers. Sebastian Rancik and Julian Hammond III each put up 11 points for Colorado (3-0). The Buffaloes improved to 196-40 at home under coach Tad Boyle, including a 99-8 mark in nonconference home games. Donovan Oday led the Titans (0-3) with 13 points and seven rebounds. Cal State Fullerton, after scoring 79 points in its season opener at Grand Canyon, has logged exactly 53 points in each of its past two games.
