Senior Shelby Wells, who heads GU Dance Marathon, was chosen as one of the three student ambassadors to represent their respective schools at the Final Four to spread the nonprofit’s mission: “A generation of Zags fighting for the next.”
Wells passed out pins and spread GUDM’s mission on Saturday in Gila River Arena, the host of an alumni and student social that preluded Gonzaga’s Final Four win over South Carolina. The arena is located across the street from the University of Phoenix Stadium, the site of this year’s Final Four.
“To be able to be here in Phoenix too with a bunch of students and alumni who believe in that too,” Wells, a co-founder of GUDM, said on Saturday, “it really embodies the Gonzaga mission to be men and women for others.
